Life to Eagle Process

The Rancho San Joaquin Advancement team has developed a Life to Eagle presentation to help guide Life Scouts on the Trail to Eagle, and to inform Technical Advisors, Unit Eagle Coaches and Parents of their roles in supporting the Life Scout in the process.  The presentation has been put into a PDF for ease of access.  To download and print this presentation, click on the image above.

 

A Unit Eagle Coach is a position held by a trained adult who encourages and mentors Life Scouts as they work through the Eagle process within the Unit.  Every Troop/Crew that has a goal of having Life Scouts reach the rank of Eagle Scout is encouraged to identify 1-2 Adults within the Unit, other than the Scoutmaster/Advisor and Committee Chair, who is qualified to support this goal.  Please review the Unit Eagle Coach job description by clicking on the image to the left and provide the names and contact information of the Unit Eagle Coach(es) in your Unit to the RSJ Advancement Team (rsjadvancement@gmail.com) so that they may receive training by the District Eagle Coach Chairperson, Frank Hernandez.

 

The District Eagle Coach works with assigned Life Scouts as they work through the Eagle Process.  An important focus of the District Eagle Coach is to mentor, encourage, guide and maintain communication with Life Scouts to as they independently complete the Eagle Rank Requirements and the Eagle Application while allowing the Scout to lead and manage all aspects of the requirements. Eagle Scout Candidates may contact any one of the following District Eagle Coaches to obtain Eagle Project approval after ALL Unit approvals are obtained, and BEFORE fundraising and/or work is begun on the project:
